East Fishkill Woman Faces Felony Impaired Driving, Drug Charges

People said she was stopped after a report of an erratic driver.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — State Police arrested an East Fishkill woman after receiving an erratic vehicle complaint.

Lisa A. Cortina, 40, was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the area of Old Hopewell Road and Presidential Way in Wappingers Falls.

Police said Cortina was impaired by drugs at the time and was also in possession of several zipper-lock bags containing marijuana, Oxycodone and Alprazolam.

She was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony; driving while ability impaired by drugs, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Cortina faces a felony DWAI by drugs charge due to a previous DWI-related conviction from 2009.

She was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail or $15,000 bond.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for September 22.
