Express Bus Service To Stewart Airport Celebrates 50K Riders
The service between Manhattan and New Windsor started June 15, 2017, with Norwegian Air's inaugural flights to Stewart.

NEW WINDSOR, NY — The 50,000th person to ride the Stewart Airport Express bus service was celebrated Thursday, Jan. 18 at Stewart International Airport in New Windsor. Passenger Simona Donzelli of Sicily was feted as the 50,000th rider. She received a $100 Visa gift card from the bus company, with the airport presenting her with wireless headsets.
Stewart Airport Express, owned by Coach USA, is the only direct transit link between New York City and Stewart Airport. Service started on June 15, 2017, with Norwegian Air’s inaugural flights to Stewart. Stewart Airport Express bus service is timed to Norwegian Air flights from Dublin, Shannon, Bergen, Edinburgh and Belfast. The service offers WiFi and in-seat power-equipped express bus service to and from Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Depending on pre-sales, the company runs an average of five buses a day in each direction carrying approximately 250 passengers daily.
“The Stewart express bus has become a popular way to get to the airport from New York City, and with the expansion of Norwegian’s affordable international service, we expect it to continue to grow in the coming year,” said Ed Harrison, Port Authority’s Stewart Airport general manager.

“The service is just one of the reasons why Stewart has become an attractive destination for international and domestic travelers,” he said.
