Man With Knife Shot By Police During Domestic Dispute: NYSP
The incident happened Sunday at a Fishkill apartment complex.

FISHKILL, NY — The New York State Police released more details about the police shooting of man who was armed with a knife during a domestic dispute.
The preliminary investigation found that Michael M. Becerril, 29, was shot after the use of a stun gun to subdue was ineffective, police said.
State police said around 2:35 p.m. Sunday, Town of Fishkill Police officers Joseph DePalma, John Hurtado and Sergeant Gerald Cocozza were investigating a domestic dispute at The Views at Rocky Glen apartment complex in Fishkill when they were approached by Becerril who had a knife.

He ignored the officers' verbal commands to drop the knife, police said, and an officer fired a department-issued stun gun, which was not effective.
Police said Becerril was shot while he fought with the officers trying to take him into custody.

Chassity N. Wade, 30, was also shot during the incident. She appeared to have been trying to stop the confrontation or disarm Becerril, police said.
Becerril was airlifted in critical condition to Westchester Medical Center. Wade was taken to Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall in stable condition.
No town of Fishkill police officers were injured, according to authorities.
