Hudson Valley MTA Worker Suspended After Attending Capitol Riot

The agency said the man called out sick Wednesday to go to Washington, D.C.

BEACON, NY — A Dutchess County man who works at the Brewster Metro-North rail yard is being investigated by the FBI for participating in the storming of the U.S. Capitol Wednesday.

Will Pepe, 31, of Beacon, called out sick to attend the event, the New York Post reported, and has been suspended without pay while the MTA seeks to fire him.

An MTA spokesman told the Post Pepe's conduct was abhorrent and against the values of the agency, the state and the nation.
