Man Accused In Triple Homicide Sentenced In Unrelated Gun Case

Authorities said he pleaded guilty in 2016 to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and other charges.

GOSHEN, NY — The Newburgh man who was arraigned Monday in killing of a couple and a 9-year-old, as well as wounding a 3-year-old, was sentenced Tuesday for an unrelated gun charge. Kaliek Goode-Ford, 30, of Newburgh, was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty in 2016 to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, along with misdemeanor weapon and drug possession.

He had been free on $30,000 bond on the 2016 gun case, the Times Herald-Record reported.

Goode-Ford pleaded guilty at his arraignment for the charges of three counts of second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said he is thought to be the sole shooter who killed Jimmy Crisantos, 27, Shatavia Crisantos, 26, and Giovannie Tambino, 9, Sunday at their home at 1751 Route 300 in Newburgh.

A 3-year-old was critically wounded, but Shatavia Crisantos' 10-year-old son was not injured.
