Middletown Woman Accused Of Fatal Stabbing
Police said she and her ex-boyfriend were having an argument and third person was stabbed.
MIDDLETOWN, NY — A Middletown woman was accused of murder after a dispute involving her and two other people led to fatal stabbing Tuesday. Police said a fight over the phone between Chelsea Johnson, 19, and her ex-boyfriend Brandon Royer, 19, of Middletown, escalated into a situation where Johnson pulled out a knife and stabbed 17-year-old Roy Boyd.
Boyd had accompanied Royer to confront Johnson on the street in front of her Orchard Street home, the Times Herald-Record reported.
Boyd left on foot after being stabbed and collapsed on East Main Street where police found him shortly after 6 p.m.

Johnson was charged with second-degree murder, a felony; Royer, with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
