Mill Street Loft Seeks Helpers to Paint Pavement on Pershing Avenue

Community members are needed to create a Public Art Street Mural.

Mill Street Loft is creating Poughkeepsie's first ever Public Street Art Mural as part of Poughkeepsie Open Studios on June 18th. We’ll be painting this permanent mural directly on Pershing Avenue in the City of Poughkeepsie at the MSL Arts entrance. 

This "Paint the Pavement" event is free and open to all community members of all ages. We want you to participate! Just show up and help us paint our design and be a part of this historic event. Artists, teachers, students, community members, neighbors, business leaders and children will all be joining in! All materials are provided. 

In addition, we will host the opening of our “PUPIL, MENTOR, MASTER” exhibit inside Mill Street Loft at Gallery 45. Please join us for a look at the artwork of Mill Street Loft students, and artist/teachers.

Note: Pershing Avenue will be closed for this event! Parking will be available in the Maplewood complex, corner of the Arterial (44/55) and Pershing Avenue. Park in the far left corner when you enter the lot.
