Monroe Walmart Targeted By NYC Shoplifters Again: Police

Police said each incident involved thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

MONROE, NY — Two people from the Bronx were arrested in Monroe Tuesday, accused of stealing from Walmart.

State police were called to the Walmart Dec. 22. Store security personnel were holding Kendra Suazo, 20 from the Bronx and an 18-year-old, alleging they left the store with $1,333.47 worth of merchandise for which they had not paid.

Each was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, a felony. They were scheduled to appear in Monroe town court Jan. 11.

The earlier incident also concerned a substantial amount of merchandise. Erika Vargas, 38, of Manhattan, is accused of stealing merchandise in the amount of $1,229.97 and Brooke Lee, 34, of the Bronx, is accused of stealing $1,006.95 worth of merchandise, police said.
