Here are the details for a busy May weekend around Beacon and Newburgh.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Cooler and unsettled weather may disrupt many plans Saturday and Sunday across the Hudson Valley. But don't despair. By midday Sunday, the storm front will be heading out and things may clear up.

"By Mother’s Day, the front will have sunk far enough south that dry, nice weather will expand south at least into northern Pennsylvania, and perhaps as far south as New York City later in the day," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Bill Deger.

  • Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. North wind 6 to 8 mph.
  • Tonight: A chance of showers after 2am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 48. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 56. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: Showers likely before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. North wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Sunday: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Sunday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
