Newburgh Teenager Behind String Of Armed Robberies, Cops Say

Police say that in three of the incidents, a weapon was displayed and the victims were threatened. None of the victims were hurt.

NEWBURGH, NY — A Hudson Valley teenager is facing charges in a string of armed robberies, according to police.

The City of Newburgh Police Department announced today that detectives nabbed a juvenile armed robber earlier this month.

On October 4, at 11 p.m., detectives located and arrested the 17-year-old City of Newburgh resident who was wanted for four separate robbery incidents.

Police say that in three of the incidents, a weapon was displayed and the victims were threatened. However, none of the victims in any of the incidents sustained any injuries.

The teen was charged with two counts of first degree robbery, one count of second degree robbery and fourth degree grand larceny.

The City of Troy Police Department assisted Newburgh police in locating the suspect.
