Orange County Exec Re-Elected to Energize NY Board

Energize NY helps property owners improve the quality of their buildings through clean energy projects involving energy efficiency.

April 19, 2016. Yorktown Heights, NY. Energy Improvement Corporation’s (EIC) municipal members
elected two new directors to EIC’s Board at its Fourth Annual Meeting of Members on April 6. Dana
Levenberg, Supervisor of the Town of Ossining, and Warren Lucas, Supervisor of the Town of North
Salem, each were unanimously elected to a three-year term. Also re-elected to the Board were Joseph
Mareane, County Administrator of Tompkins County, and Steve Neuhaus, County Executive of Orange
County.

“I am honored to have been appointed to a Board that is doing such meaningful work in our region,
including financing for a large project right here in Ossining,” said Supervisor Levenberg. “In a time
when resources are scarce and energy costs are volatile, our communities deserve progressive and
proactive leadership to help us navigate our options for cleaner and greener solutions. That is exactly what
we have with the EIC, and I am proud to represent Ossining in this important mission,” she added.

Through its Energize NY and Solarize Westchester programs, EIC helps property owners across New
York State reduce energy waste, save money and improve the quality of their buildings through clean
energy projects involving energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Started in northern Westchester with a handful of grassroots volunteers and one employee in 2011, EIC
has grown to 27 municipal members and a staff of 12 managing Energize NY Finance, Energize NY
Residential, Energize NY Commercial and Solarize Westchester.

Energize NY has approved over $1mm in clean energy projects in its member municipalities since
launching Energize NY Finance in 2015, including a 120 kW roof-mounted solar electric system at Terra
Tile & Marble in the Town of Ossining, and energy efficiency upgrades at the Robson House, a multifamily
affordable housing facility in North Salem, which is owned by A-HOME, a not-for-profit based in
Pleasantville, NY. Information about these and other clean energy projects can be found at on Energize
NY’s website.

Energize NY, www.EnergizeNY.org, is a NY State mission-driven local development corporation that works with its member communities and property owners to spur economic development by unlocking the energy savings potential in their buildings and installing renewable energy sources to save money, fuel and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
