Orange County Man Accused Of Drug, Weapon Possession
Police initially pulled the man over for a possible traffic violation.

NEW WINDSOR, NY — An Orange County man was arrested after a traffic stop and charged with drug and weapon possession. State police said Justin F. Shutts, 24, of Rock Tavern, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and a vehicle and traffic violation.
Troopers said they stopped Shutts’ car on I-87 in the Town of New Windsor for a vehicle and traffic violation.
They said they found probable cause to search him and the vehicle.

Police said that Shutts was in possession of about 1.5 grams of cocaine and a switchblade knife.
He was taken into custody and was processed at the Newburgh barracks.

Shutts was arraigned in the Town of New Windsor Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail or $3,000 bond.
