PA Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On I-84

The New York State Police said he lost control of the vehicle for reasons that are unknown.

NEWBURGH, NY — A Pennsylvania man was killed when he was thrown from his motorcycle while traveling on I-84 in the town of Newburgh. The New York State Police said that, around 11:30 a.m. Monday, troopers were sent to a motorcycle crash on the interstate near Exit 36.

An investigation found that Robert G. Walker, 66, of Sykesville, Pennsylvania, was traveling west in the right lane while pulling a trailer. For reasons that are unknown, he lost control of his motorcycle.

Walker was thrown from the vehicle, striking a guide rail on the southern side of the roadway.

He was taken by the Town of Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance to Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall where he was pronounced dead.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Town of Newburgh Police Department and Town of Newburgh EMS.
