Plane Loses Landing Gear, Lands Safely In Dutchess County: UPDATE
BREAKING: Emergency crews were called to the Hudson Valley Regional Airport.

WAPPINGER, NY — A pilot and his passenger walked away from an emergency landing at the Hudson Valley Region Airport in the Town of Wappinger Friday. According to Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, local first responders acted quickly to prepare for the landing of the plane which had reported malfunctioning landing gear.
"As a result of that preparation, and communication with the pilot, the aircraft was able to land without incident, with both on board able to walk off the aircraft with no reported injury," Molinaro said.
“We send our appreciation to all involved for their efforts to ensure the safe landing,” he said.
