Police ID Body Found In Wappinger Creek Tributary
The woman had been traveling through or staying in parts of the northeast last year.

WAPPINGER, NY — Police have identified the woman found dead in a tributary to Wappinger Creek in February. State Police said the woman is Ashanti Moore, 36, of Brooklyn.
The investigation found that Moore had traveled through or stayed in the areas of the Hudson Valley, Binghamton, Buffalo and Pennsylvania from August 2017 to September 2017 before her death.
She might have spent time in the Chattanooga, Signal Mountain and Red Bank areas of Tennessee, as well as Rossville, GA.

State Police want to speak to anyone who may have come in contact with Moore during her travels or who has any information regarding the incident.

Moore’s body was found Feb. 27 wearing white jeans, a pink T-shirt, a black button-up sweater and black and purple Merrell sneakers.
