Police Seize $40K Worth of Heroin, Arrest 2
Police said they found 4,000 individually packaged bags of heroin.

BETHEL, NY — The New York State Police seized $40,000 worth of heroin and arrested two Sullivan County residents on drug charges.
Randolph Dauch, 61, and Rhandye Dauch, 61, of White Lake, were charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.
Police said a search warrant executed September 14 by members of the NYSP Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and Troop F SP Liberty, along with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the seizure of 4,000 individually packaged bags of heroin at the Dauchs’ home on State Route 17B in the Town of Bethel.

Also seized were drug paraphernalia and more than $4,000 in cash.

Police estimated the street value of the heroin to be about $40,000.

The Dauchs were arraigned in the Town of Bethel Justice Court and were remanded to the custody of the sheriff in lieu of $150,000 bail.
The investigation into heroin distribution is ongoing, police said.
