Registered Sex Offender Accused Of Not Reporting Address Change
A registered sex offender is required to notify the state Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of an address change.

ROSENDALE, NY — An Ulster County man who is a registered sex offender was accused of not reporting a change of address. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office said John E. Vanleuven Jr., 58, of Rosendale, was charged with felony failing to register a change of address as a sex offender.
Authorities said sheriff's deputies attempted in November 2018 to verify Vanleuven's address as required by the New York State Sex Offender Registration Act.
He had previously reported living in the Kerhonkson area, police said.

An investigation found he had moved from the address in Kerhonkson to an address in Rosendale but did not notify the state Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days as required.
Vanleuven was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Justice Court and released to appear at a later date.
