Resorts World Catskills Opens For Business

The casino opened its doors earlier than planned.

MONTICELLO, NY — Resorts World Catskills opened its doors Thursday, Feb. 8 by welcoming thousands of guests to the gaming floor. The luxury casino resort opened for business several weeks ahead of schedule.

State and local officials joined executives from Resorts World Catskills for a private ribbon-cutting ceremony. Speech-givers included New York Lieutenant Gov. Kathy Hochul, Senator John Bonacic, R-Mount Hope, and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, D-Forestburgh.

Ryan Eller, president and CEO of Resorts World Catskills, said he was proud of the hard work and dedication his staff, local officials and the community that went into making the opening possible.

“We’re committed to having a positive impact on the region and we’re looking forward to continuing to collaborate with the local community to ensure this happens,” he said. “We are open for business and are ready to offer our guests unparalleled gaming, world-class amenities and thrilling experiences like no other in the region.”

Resorts World Catskills’ 100,000-square-foot casino floor features over 2,150 high-tech slots and 112 live table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Roulette and Pai Gow Tiles. A poker room and private luxurious gaming salons are expected to debut later in February.

Guests will also be able to choose from varied bar and restaurant experiences, ranging from fine dining to grab-and-go options, and can enjoy year-round live entertainment at the casino resort’s 2,500-seat event center, casino bars, restaurants and lounges.
