Solar Eclipse 2017: Hudson Valley Weather Forecast
Will skies be clear enough in the Hudson Valley for a good look? Here's the latest, the NWS eclipse cloudiness countdown and VIDEO science.

On Monday, Aug. 21, Hudson Valley residents will be able to view a partial solar eclipse. But what what will the weather be like, and will the skies be clear enough to get a good look (while wearing protective eclipse glasses or using a pinhole camera, of course)?
The current forecast for Monday offers some good news as it's expected to be sunny, with highs in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS has a 2017 Solar Eclipse countdown and cloudiness forecast page that is worth checking out.

According to NASA, those viewing the eclipse in New York need to wear a pair of NASA-approved solar eclipse glasses. Wearing these special spectacles will protect viewers' eyes from the potentially damaging effects of the sun.
NASA will also be providing live video from several cities in the path of the total eclipse. You can use this interactive Google map to find the spot of the longest eclipse.
