Stuck Between A Tesla And A Suzuki: Police Chase Ends With A Bang, But Suspect Escapes On Foot
Remarkably, no injuries were reported as a result of the fleeing suspect colliding with several cars, according to NYSP.

NEW PALTZ, NY — A fleeing suspect ended up in a tight spot, but still managed to elude authorities, according to NYSP.
The New York State Police say that on Friday, around 1:51 p.m., troopers from the Thruway barracks in Kingston saw a 2021 Nissan traveling south on I-87, near Exit 20, at high speed.
Troopers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to comply, and a pursuit took place for around 19 miles, at which point it was terminated near the New Paltz exit. The vehicle continued traveling at high speeds into the Town of New Paltz.

While patrolling the area, troopers were informed that the suspect vehicle had been involved in a collision.
Investigators say the 2021 Nissan had been pursued by the Village of Catskill Police Department before entering the Thruway. Once the vehicle entered the Village of New Paltz, the Nissan was traveling west on Main Street, when it hit the back of a 2021 Mazda that was turning left onto North Front Street, according to NYSP.

The Nissan continued west and struck the rear driver side of a 2020 Tesla that was traveling east. After striking the Tesla, the Nissan continued west and struck the rear of a stopped 2012 Suzuki in the westbound lane, becoming wedged between the Tesla and the Suzuki.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
Troopers searched the area for the driver of the Nissan, later identified as 21-year-old Naveah J. Jackson, of Catskill, but Jackson was not apprehended after fleeing the scene of the crash, cops said.
