About 100 protesters marched onto the Mid-Hudson Bridge during the rally.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Thousands of people protested in the City of Poughkeepsie during the "We Can't Breathe" march that started at Harriet Tubman Park, near the Mid-Hudson Bridge. The protest was peaceful and included local officials such as the Dutchess and Ulster county executives and the mayor of Poughkeepsie.
At one point, about 100 protesters marched across the Mid-Hudson Bridge in a moment of solidarity, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

The protest march in Poughkeepsie and those occurring around the country were spurred by the recent death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis.
