2 Injured In Times Square Stabbing; 1 In Custody: NYPD
The stabbing happened early Saturday at the 42nd Street and Broadway station, according to police.

NEW YORK CITY, NY — A 22-year-old Queens man is facing multiple charges in connection with a stabbing at Times Square early Saturday morning, according to authorities.
Police were called to the 42nd Street and Broadway station just before 2:30 a.m. where a large crowd had gathered on the mezzanine, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch. As officers worked to disperse the crowd, they discovered two people with stab wounds.
One victim, a 23-year-old man, had multiple stab and slash wounds to his torso and leg, police said. The second victim, identified by police as 22-year-old Jermaine Cloud of Queens, had a stab wound to the head.

Officers later recovered a knife from Cloud that was covered in blood, police said.
Both men were taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment, according to police.

Cloud was later taken into custody and charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, police said.
Authorities did not know what led to the stabbing. The incident remains under investigation.
