The Campbell Apartment Revival Opens In Grand Central
The former Campbell Apartment, now under new ownership, will offer "a refined, yet approachable atmosphere."

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The Campbell Apartment, a swanky cocktail lounge tucked away in Grand Central Terminal, reopened Wednesday under new ownership as The Campbell.
The new Campbell, located in the southwest corner of Grand Central, will offer a "refined, yet approachable atmosphere," with signature cocktails and elevated bar food, according to a press release. The grandiose interiors — such as 25-foot hand painted ceilings, a grand stone fireplace and a large leaded glass window behind the bar — have been largely maintained and restored by design firm Ingrao Inc.
"We are very proud of how beautifully the space has been revitalized, and look forward to providing our guests with the great service they have come to expect from us," Scott Gerber, CEO of Gerber Group, said in a statement. "Whether stopping by for a quick drink before catching a train, or making The Campbell a destination for a night of cocktails and great food, we are very confident that commuters, locals and tourists who visit Grand Central Terminal will be pleasantly surprised."

The Campbell is located in the former office of Jazz Age financier and member of the New York Central Railroad’s Board of Director John Campbell. Campbell would use the space as a reception hall to entertain his friends and colleagues at night.
