Eleven Madison Park Moving To Hamptons During Summer Renovation

Acclaimed Midtown restaurant Eleven Madison Park will be summering in the Hamptons while its NYC location gets renovated.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — One of Midtown Manhattans most acclaimed restaurants is moving to the Hamptons for the summer. Eleven Madison Park — which has racked up three stars from the Michelin Guide, four stars from the New York Times and numerous James Beard Foundation awards — will close June 9 and open a pop-up location in East Hampton, the New York Times reported.

The reasoning for the move? Long overdue renovations, chef Daniel Humm told the Times.

"It’s time for a change,” Mr. Humm told the Times. "We’ve been at the restaurant for 11 years, and it’s been open for 20 years. We’re still using Danny Meyer’s brasserie."

Humm and co-owned Will Guidara bought the restaurant from Meyer in 2011, according to the Times' report.

The summer pop-up will be called "EMP Summer House" and will be located in a white farmhouse on East Hampton's Pantigo Road. The pop-up — which will offer both indoor and outdoor dining — should be opening in late June, but prospective diners will be able to make reservations as early as May 1.

Eleven Madison Park is partnering with American Express for the summer pop-up, meaning only American Express cardholders will be accepted for reservations and be able to pay at the restaurant by card.
