How To Get A Free Shake Shack Burger In NYC

NEW YORK, NY — What would you do for a free Shake Shack burger? We're assuming those answers could get a little crazy, but thankfully all you have to do to score a free single ShackBurger is download Shake Shack's new mobile ordering app released Monday.

The Shake Shack app enables guests to order Shake Shack whenever they want, right from their phone. Guests can pick their food, choose an available pickup time and their food will be cooked-to-order and timed to their arrival. There's also a location finder, food allergy information, nutritional facts, and information about promos and events.

iPhone owners can get the free ShackBurger when they download the Shack App, create an account and use the promo code “shackappy” at checkout at participating restaurants. If you don't want a burger, the promo code can be used in the Shack App for items in the breakfast and hot dog categories, up to $5.55 value. The free item is redeemable until Tuesday, February 28.

Currently, only iPhone users can access the app, but an Android version of the app is in development.
