Lottery Opens For 46 Affordable Units In Hell's Kitchen
The units — studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms — are located on the former site of a diner on 11th Avenue and West 43rd Street.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A new development in Hell's Kitchen on the site of a former diner is accepting applications for 46 units being rented for below-market rates. The apartments — studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms — are located in the Moinian Group's high-rise on the corner of 11th Avenue and West 43rd Street.
The units are being offered at various levels of affordability and eligible to both low- and middle-income individuals and families, according to the city's housing connect website.
An individual must make an annual income of at least $22,903 to qualify for even the cheapest unit — a studio renting for $596 per month. The most expensive unit — a two bedroom renting for $2,715 per month — is reserved for families of 2, 3 or 4 making an annual salary of at least $99,657.

Prospective tenants may apply for the lottery through the city's Housing Connect website. A mail-in application can be requested by sending a self-addressed envelope to: Affordable Housing Dept. 1561, 1357 Broadway, Box 309, New York, NY 10018.

Applications will be accepted until Feb. 16. Fifty percent of the units will be reserved for residents of Manhattan's fourth community district. An additional five percent will be reserved for mobility disabled applicants and two percent will be reserved for vision and hearing disabled applicants.
