NYC Commute: PATH Trains Snarled; Lincoln Tunnel Delays Continue

Breaking: Traffic was delayed in and out of Manhattan on Tuesday morning.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Commuters coming into Manhattan from New Jersey dealt with significant delays during the Tuesday morning commute. (For the latest traffic news and more, click here to get a daily newsletter and free, real-time news alerts for your New York City neighborhood.)

Delays stuffed traffic the Lincoln Tunnel in both directions this morning because of a disabled tractor trailer. New York City Emergency Management said Tuesday morning that the delays persisted in both directions and urged drivers to seek alternate routes in and out of Manhattan.

Meanwhile, police activity caused significant delays on PATH trains between Newark and the World Trade Center station. New Jersey Transit said it was cross-honoring PATH tickets in Newark and New York Penn Stations.
