Metropolitan Commercial Bank Announces its Holiday 2016 Coat Drive

For tens of thousands of New Yorkers, enduring the winter without a warm coat to protect them from the season’s chilling cold is a real challenge. So Metropolitan Commercial Bank is collecting slightly used and new coats at its headquarters and Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island banking centers. Coats collected in Manhattan and Brooklyn will be delivered to New York Cares for distribution to those in need throughout New York City. Coats collected at the Bank’s Great Neck banking center will be delivered to Long Island Cares for distribution throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.

It is especially gratifying during this holiday season to be able to help provide warmth and the hope that these coats represent to so many families in and around our communities,” stated Laura Capra, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking. “We asked our employees to help us jump-start our coat drive. Their response has been overwhelming; just another example of how Metropolitan Commercial Bank employees rally together to help make a difference for those less fortunate.”

Metropolitan Commercial Bank clients, as well as neighborhood residents and businesses, are invited to walk into any of the Bank’s banking centers during regular business hours and donate gently used or new coats for children and adults. The Bank’s banking center locations are:

The Bank will be collecting coats through December 31, 2016.
