Metropolitan Commercial Bank Provides 70 Winter Coats for New York City Families in Need

Metropolitan Commercial Bank recently delivered 70 new and slightly used winter coats to New York Cares for distribution to families in need all across New York City’s five boroughs. The coats were collected during Metropolitan Commercial Bank’s December 2016 holiday season coat drive. Coats were donated by Bank clients, New York City residents and Bank employees—a clear representation of the collaborative relationship that has been cultivated between the Bank and its banking center communities.

“Due to the overwhelming generosity and compassion of all those who donated, we were able to far surpass the expectations we initially had for this coat drive,” stated Laura Capra, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking for Metropolitan Commercial Bank. “We are committed to giving back to the communities we serve. One way we do this is by constantly seeking partnerships with charitable organizations dedicated to working with those less fortunate throughout New York City. It was very gratifying for all of us at Metropolitan Commercial Bank to be able to provide warmth this winter to deserving New Yorkers through the auspices of the New York Cares organization.”

The Metropolitan Commercial Bank hosted coat drives at its New York headquarters and four banking centers in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The Bank also hosted a coat drive at its Great Neck banking center which recently donated its collected coats to Long Island Cares.
