NJ Transit Trains At Penn Station Heavily Delayed
Wire problems between Seacaucus and Penn Station have slowed trains in and out of Midtown to a crawl.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — New Jersey Transit trains heading in and out of New York City were slowed to a crawl Tuesday after overhead wires problems on tracks between Penn Station and Seacaucus, NJ transit officials announced.
Inbound and outbound trains delayed as much as 90 minutes Tuesday, the commuter railroad said on social media. The "overhead wire problems" were reported as early as 9 a.m. and continued throughout the day, NJ transit officials said.
The wire problems forced trains to run between the two busy station on a single track, NJ transit officials said on social media. Delays started at 30 minutes but got as bad as 90 minutes by 12:45 p.m., railroad officials said.

Delays were back down to 20 minute minutes around 4:20 p.m., NJ transit said on social media. It is unknown whether the problem will be fixed before the evening rush hour.
For much of the morning and afternoon the PATH train was honoring all NJ Transit tickets, but PATH has since stopped honoring the tickets.
