NYC Bartender Austin Rogers Loses In 13th 'Jeopardy!' Appearance
Hell's Kitchen bartender Austin Rogers won a total of $411,000 during his 13-night run on the game show "Jeopardy!"

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — New York City bartender Austin Rogers' dominant winning streak on the game show "Jeopardy!" came to an end Thursday night. Rogers, who charmed many "Jeopardy!" fans during his 13-night run on the show, lost by just $5 to a Tennessee woman named Scarlett Sims.
Rogers earned a total of $411,000 in his 12 wins on "Jeopardy!" which makes him the show's fifth highest earner of all time. His 12 consecutive wins is also the fifth-longest winning streak and Rogers' impressive $69,000 win is the third best single game of all time in "Jeopardy!" history.
The impressive winning streak all but guarantees Rogers will be back for the show's Tournament of Champions.

Other than his otherworldly knowledge, Rogers was not the typical sweater-vest wearing, high-strung "Jeopardy!' contestant. The New York bartender earned himself a large fanbase and appearances on programs such as "Good Morning America," CNBC's "Closing Bell," and "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon," by betting big and unleashing celebratory flourishes upon nailing tough questions.
"Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek put it best: "He's got hair, he's got chutzpah and broad-based knowledge."

As for what's next for the "Jeopardy!" champ? Not even Rogers himself knows.
"I’m a bit schizophrenic right now," Rogers told the New York Times. "Do I want to pitch my own television show? Or maybe reproduce that comedy-variety show I did a few years ago. Or start a series on history on YouTube."
"I want to take a break and collect my thoughts," Rogers told the Times "and then on Monday, it’s a brand new workday of a brand new life."
