3 Injured After Man Is Struck By Train At 28th Street

A man was struck by a 6 train at the 28th Street station Wednesday afternoon, which also sent two MTA workers to the hospital.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — At least three people were injured after a man was struck by a 6 train at the 28th Street station Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

Authorities responded around 2:50 p.m. to the 28th Street–Lexington Avenue station. The victim, who suffered unspecified trauma, was taken from the tracks and brought to Bellevue Hospital in unknown condition, police and the FDNY said.

Two MTA workers were also hospitalized for unspecified injuries, the FDNY said.

The accident forced the MTA to halt 4 and 6 train service in both directions between Bowling Green/Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and 42nd Street–Grand Central. Service had resumed shortly before 4 p.m.
