Penn Station Suspicious Package: Police Find Non-Threatening Suitcase, Give All Clear
Police have given the all clear at Penn Station after investigating a suspicious package, which ended up posing no threat.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police have given the all clear at Penn Station after investigating a suspicious package left behind at the station's entrance on West 34th Street and Seventh Avenue, an NYPD spokesman said.
The suspicious package ended up being a suitcase with nothing inside that "posed any threat," an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
Penn Station's West 34th Street Long Island Railroad entrance was closed as the NYPD bomb squad investigated the package, an NYPD spokesman said. The rest of the station's entrances remained open for the Monday evening rush hour, according to the MTA.

People near Penn Station said that they were been told to avoid the area during the, according to witness accounts on social media.
The 34th Street entrance to Penn Station is closed due to police activity at street level. All other entrances remain open.
