The Artist's Turn:

Barbara Wyckoff is a member of the East End Arts Council and has been a Fiber Artist for 40 years. Wyckoff said her piece entitled "Freedom Flighter" is about feeling a sense of freedom and a wish to escape the boundaries that society sets up for us.

"It is a fantasy Fiber Art piece of a hidden desire of mine to be able to be light enough and free enough to be lifted up to the heavens by the wings of a butterfly," she said.
