UPDATED: Rocky Point Man Dies in Miller Place Crash
A two-car crash at the intersection of Route 25A and Harrison Avenue in Miller Place has resulted in the death of Jeffrey Albano, 48, of Rocky Point.

Updated: 5:30 p.m. Thursday: According to Police, a visible search of the heavily damaged vehicle conducted last night revealed no alcohol products or drug paraphernalia. The investigation is still ongoing.
Updated: 11:02 p.m. Wednesday: The 48-year-old man who died at the scene of the crash has been identified by police as Jeffrey Albano, of Rocky Point. Albano apparently lost control of the vehicle, veered into the westbound lane and struck a Mercury driven by Dolores Cash, 83, of Sound Beach. Police said Cash has been treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are still investigating the crash, which happened at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Updated 9:05 p.m. Wednesday: A 48-year-old man has died from his injuries caused by Wednesday's crash. The man was driving a Buick Regal eastbound on Route 25A when he went into the westbound lane and crashed into a Mercury Grand Marquis just west of Harrison Ave., according to police.
An 83-year-old woman driving the Grand Marquis was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital by ambulance. Police said the injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.

Both east and westbound lanes are closed from Harrison Avenue to Oakland Avenue on Route 25A.

A crash at the intersection of Route 25A and Harrison Avenue in Miller Place Wednesday evening has reportedly resulted one death, according to the Miller Place Fire Department.
First assistant chief Kyle Markott is reporting one dead on arrival at the scene of the two-car crash, which has temporarily closed portions of 25A near the incident. Patch will have more as information becomes available.
