Vine 2 Wine is proud to offer a tasting of Temperamento Bobal Utiel-Requena 2009 as well as Riff Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio 2010. The Temperamento is made from the Bobal grape variety in Southeastern Spain which, in this case, are organically grown from sixty year old vines and are then hand-harvested. Fermenting in steel and then aging in oak, the result is an intense, bright nose showing strawberries and raspberries with a touch of spice, with a medium body, velvety tannins, and nice acidity.
The Riff Pinot Grigio features a brilliant straw-yellow color with a green tint. Fruity notes of apples and peach are detected, as well as a forward varietal aroma with mineral notes. There is a quite pronounced, clean, grapey flavor. It is dry, and medium-bodied on the palate with a crisp and well balanced aftertaste and good length. We hope to see you there!
