Hats Off to the Rocky Point High Class of 2015

With the sound of Pomp and Circumstance filling the air, Rocky Point High School’s Class of 2015 became the building’s newest alumni on Friday, June 26 surrounded by family members, friends and educators.

Throughout the ceremony, several guest speakers addressed the crowd to share their words of wisdom, congratulations and reflections on the class. Principal John DeBenedetto reminded the graduates that “life is not a destination it’s a journey” while Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael F. Ring encouraged the students to embrace the challenges that lie ahead with determination and commitment.

Valedictorian Lauren McBrearty, Salutatorian Joseph Niver, exhortation speaker Brittany Rinaldi spoke to the significance of the day and encouraged their fellow classmates to create their own path in to achieve success in their future endeavors.

Before each graduate crossed the stage to receive their diploma, members of the teaching staff and community helped to present several department awards and scholarships.
