Legislator Anker Celebrates Independence Day with the Village of Shoreham

Legislator Anker recently joined the Village of Shoreham to celebrate Independence Day.

Shoreham, NY – On July 4th, Legislator Anker joined the Village of Shoreham to celebrate Independence Day. The celebration began with a parade and included festivities that lasted throughout the day, like the annual married men-single men softball game, a community barbecue, and ice cream for all. The July 4th parade is an annual village tradition, and it includes all of the village residents as well as a community band whose members wear all white outfits and colonial hats.

“I’d like to thank the Village of Shoreham and Mayor Ed Weiss for welcoming me into their parade and celebration. It is so wonderful to see a whole community come together to celebrate the holiday,” said Legislator Anker.
