Legislator Anker Distributes Face Coverings to Senior Residents

MOUNT SINAI, NY - On Monday, June 22nd, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker, Chairwoman of the Seniors and Human Services Legislative Committee, distributed face coverings to senior residents at the community of The Ranches in Mount Sinai.

“Senior citizens are more susceptible to COVID-19 and as chair of the county’s senior committee, I have made it my priority to provide our senior residents with face coverings that have been made available in coordination with our federal, state, and county governments. As we continue to see improvements in overcoming the COVID-19 virus in Suffolk County, I commend our essential workers, volunteers and residents in their efforts to reduce the virus,” said Legislator Anker.

The county encourages residents to call 311 if they have questions related to the COVID-19 virus.
