Legislator Anker Honors SWR Soccer Coach Adrian Gilmore

Legislator Anker was joined by Shoreham-Wading River School District Superintendent Gerard Poole in recognizing SWR High School Soccer Coach Adrian Gilmore.

RIVERHEAD, NY – On Tuesday, March 3rd, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker honored Adrian Gilmore at the General Meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature in Riverhead. Adrian is the Shoreham-Wading River school district’s girls varsity soccer coach and was honored as the 2019 Regional High School Coach of the Year at the United Soccer Coaches annual convention in Baltimore. Adrian was one of only seven female soccer coaches to receive the award.

“My sincerest congratulations to Adrian for being named Coach of the Year,” said Legislator Anker. “This accomplishment and her involvement in her community provides a great example for her students and players.”
