Legislator Anker and Island Harvest Food Bank Partner for Food Drive

Legislator Sarah Anker is partnering with Island Harvest Food Bank for a holiday food drive during the month of December.

Mount Sinai, NY – To provide assistance to the more than 300,000 families in need on Long Island, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker is partnering with Island Harvest Food Bank for a holiday food drive during the month of December. Now through December 30th nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies and personal care products can be dropped off at Legislator Anker’s office, located at 620 Route 25A, Suite B, in Mt. Sinai. The office is open for donations Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Island Harvest combats hunger by providing supplemental food support, products and services to Long Islanders in need. They distribute food and products to food pantries, soup kitchens, and other feeding programs and directly via mobile food pantries to senior citizens and veterans.

“I am proud to partner with Island Harvest Food Bank to help provide services to adults, children, seniors and veterans in need on Long Island,” said Legislator Anker. “I thank the community in advance for their donations and generosity.”
