Legislator Anker Supports Local Business Owners at Shop Local Independence Celebration
Legislator Sarah Anker recently joined the North Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce at the first annual Shop Local Independence Celebration.
Miller Place, NY – On Saturday, July 11th, 2015, Suffolk County Legislator Anker joined the North Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce at the first annual Shop Local Independence Celebration. The event took place at Sylvan Avenue Park and was hosted by Echo Pharmacy. The event included a showcase of local businesses, as well as kid’s games and a Chinese auction.
“I would like to thank Echo Pharmacy and the North Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce for their dedication to our local businesses,” said Legislator Anker. “I commend their efforts to support our community and economy by encouraging residents to shop local.”
Shop Local is an initiative by the North Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce. It offers businesses and community members a support network through local products and services. It is their missions to help local businesses create jobs, stimulate the economy, and get residents into local shops and restaurants.
