Legislator Anker Supports our Local Farmers and Artisans
Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker recently attended the Rocky Point Farmer's Market.
Rocky Point, NY– Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker recently attended the Rocky Point Farmer’s Market on Sunday, June 28th. Being the third year in existence, the farmer’s market encourages residents to shop local and support Long Island’s farmers and artisans.
Located at the corner of Broadway and Prince Road in Rocky Point, the market is open on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will run until late November. Residents are able to enjoy organic vegetables, all-natural poultry, handmade jewelry, and locally-brewed beer.
“Long Island is home to the largest farming community in New York State and many of the farms are family-owned,” said Legislator Anker. “The Farmers Market provides a great opportunity for our residents to support our local farmers and helps to strengthen the Long Island economy.”
