Local Prospect Dan Burawa Tears Oblique at Yankees Camp
Upcoming pitching prospect from Rocky Point suffers setback in Spring Training.

New York Yankees pitching prospect Dan Burawa, a former Rocky Point Eagle, had been with his performance during Spring Training.
Unfortunately for the young right-hander, who was slated to start the season in Trenton with the Yankees' Double-A affiliate, he suffered a torn oblique Sunday and will be out for a while.
Burawa took to Twitter (@dannyburawa) to send a message to his fans.

"Appreciate all the concern, yeah I'm bummed but its a lesson in making your body strong for the long haul.. Be back stronger asap," he tweeted.
According to a report on the LoHud Yankees Blog, the team thought it was a rib cage injury until they found the tear in his oblique. Burawa is expected to miss "quite a bit of time."
