Miller Place's Maynes Pitches Mount Saint Mary to Conference Title
Sophomore Caitlin Maynes wins ECAC Tournament MVP.

Caitlin Maynes pitched the Mount Saint Mary College softball team to its first ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship in the Metro Division, earning the tournament MVP Award in the process.
On May 14, the alum led her team to two 1-0 wins over Hunter College and Richard Stockton with two complete game shutouts. In the victories she totaled 14 innings allowing no runs on ten hits while striking out seven. She also went 1-4 with two walks batting in the third spot in the order and recorded the only hit for the Knights in their second win.
Due to inclement weather, the end of the tournament was cancelled and the Knights were awarded the trophy as the only undefeated team in the conference. Had the tournament continued, the Knights would have had to win just one of two games to be crowned champions.
