Department simulates scene of a crash and saving victim using the jaws of life.

Members of the Sound Beach Fire Department took part in an extrication exercise on Sept. 10.

During the exercise, firefighters simulated the scene of a crash and extricated a "victim” from a car involved in the accident using the Jaws of Life.

Two cars used in the exercise were donated by Gershow Recycling in support of local Fire, Rescue and Emercency Medical Services crews. The Sound Beach Fire Department thanked Gershow for their support for simulated emergency training.
