Pink Tree for Hope at Heritage Park

Legislator Sarah Anker joined the North Shore Neighbors Breast Cancer Coalition, the Heritage Trust, and residents at the Pink Tree of Hope.

MOUNT SINAI, NY – On Tuesday, October 1st, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined the North Shore Neighbors Breast Cancer Coalition, the Heritage Trust, and residents at the Pink Tree of Hope tree lighting held at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai. The tree will be illuminated with pink lights throughout the month of October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Having lost my grandmother to breast cancer, I am honored to partner with the North Shore Neighbors Breast Cancer Coalition to raise awareness about the prevalence of breast cancer, honor our loved ones lost to breast cancer, and support survivors across Long Island,” said Legislator Anker. “I thank Patti Kozlowski and the North Shore Neighbors for their important work to help cancer patients, survivors, and their families in our local communities. I would also like to thank Koch Tree Services and the Heritage Trust for their generous sponsorship.”

To see the Pink Tree for Hope, please visit the North Shore Heritage Park located in Mount Sinai. The tree will be illuminated during the evening hours throughout the month of October. For more information, please call Legislator Anker’s office at 631-854-1600.
