The Rocky Point Fire Department 9/11 Memorial Park in Shoreham was dedicated Sunday to those community members who lost their lives in the attacks.
The names of the five community members lost in the 9/11 attacks are listed on a boulder adorned by a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.
Rocky Point graduates Sgt. Michael Curtin, Joanne Ahladiotis and Lisa and Samantha Egan, and Shoreham-Wading River grad Kevin Williams will forever be remembered at the memorial park in Shoreham.

Mike Williams, the father of Kevin Williams who was 24 when he passed, spoke to the crowd of hundreds Sunday night and shared his emotions about the memorial, his son, and life in general.
A 16-foot steal beam is the centerpiece of the memorial, surrounded by a reflection pool. Candles were lit and four wreaths were sent floating on the pool one by one during four seperate moments of silence at the ceremony.
