The Miller Place varsity boys lacrosse team, in just its second season, defeated Rocky Point, 9-4, in the first matchup between the two programs.

Ryan Callahan and Jeff Reh led the Panthers with three goals each and sophomore goalie Matt Liantonio had 17 saves in net. Dan Staker led the Eagles with two goals. The Panthers improved to 2-0, 3-1 on the season while No.5 Rocky Point, who lost ten starters last season, dropped to 0-2, 0-4.
