Whiz Kid: Christopher Garbe Stars on the Ice with Junior Islanders
Middle school student captains Junior Islanders team looking towards bright future on the ice.

Accomplishments: Garbe has been playing ice hockey since the age of five with the Suffolk PAL team, practicing at the RINX in Hauppauge. He is on the ice four times during the school week, sometimes as early as 5:30am.
In 2011, the Selects Hockey organization chose Chris to join the international program with the East Coast Selects hockey team. In the spring, he plays on select teams, including Pro Hockey in Toronto and in September will be playing with the Bantam Minor Team. Chris is on the honor roll at the North Country Road Middle School and has been involved with community service to benefit the Guide Dog Foundation.
